About Us
The 43d New York Volunteer Infantry is a family
oriented Civil War reenacting organization and member of the United States
Volunteer Battalion (USV). We are dedicated to the remembrance and accurate
portrayal of the common civilian and soldier working to preserve the Union
during the American Civil War.
Our members are spread out across the mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
Most reside in New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania & Southern New York. Our
main focus is educating the public about the heroic sacrifices of American men,
women and children over 140 years ago. We achieve this through participating in
living histories, school presentations and Civil War reenactments. We
attend reenactments held all over the eastern United States.
